We are looking for a Senior Construction Manager and Advisor specializing in concrete within the Mälarbanan Program for the Swedish Transport Administration.

This is a consulting assignment. The stationing location is Stockholm.

The position is part-time, 40-60%.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of Senior Construction Manager and Advisor within the Mälarbanan Program involves strengthening the Swedish Transport Administration's project organization as a resource consultant with specialist competence in concrete as well as earthworks and civil engineering. The assignment includes construction management and technical advice in close cooperation with project management, construction management, design, and external stakeholders, focusing on technical solutions, production efficiency, economy, time, and quality throughout the implementation.

Responsibilities

• Work as a Senior Construction Manager and Advisor in concrete and earthworks as a resource reinforcement in the client's project organization at the site office in Sundbyberg • Participate in certain design work and contribute to the development of production technical and technical solutions • Conduct construction management and follow up on technology, economy, time, quality, environment, work environment, and safety • Prepare materials for follow-up, forecasts, time, cost, and content assessments • Monitor and manage risks and contribute to the project's risk work • Assist and update the client's project manager and deliver decision-making materials that affect the contract • Collaborate with the project's other units, contractors, and external stakeholders at all stages • Ensure that work is carried out according to the applicable contract through daily controls and follow-up of the contractor's documentation • Ensure that the contractor's self-checks, other controls, and documentation for the management phase are reported and preserved according to agreement • Continuously document the project's progress in the construction manager's diary • Verify the accuracy of documentation regarding completed work • Be responsible for notification management and support the project manager in cost changes • Participate in requirements management and work with work environment risks, cost, time, and forecasting work • Attend and, if necessary, lead relevant meetings such as construction and coordination meetings and take minutes • Perform and document sample inspections and ensure the handling and resolution of deviations • Be responsible for safety and environmental rounds and report risks of incidents, work environment, or environmental accidents • Ensure the contractor's coordination with the operators' operational and construction contractors • Contribute to good relations with residents and businesses in the surrounding area • Participate in or lead internal and external meetings • Contribute to knowledge transfer to the employees of the Swedish Transport Administration • Assist other departments within the area of Large Projects as needed within the specified workload

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

University/college education equivalent to a Swedish Master's degree in engineering with relevant specialization or equivalent education and experience that can be assessed as equivalent by the Swedish Transport Administration.

At least 5 years of experience in the role of construction manager regarding civil engineering projects involving heavy concrete structures. The experience must not be older than 10 years.

At least 15 years of experience in concrete work in large infrastructure projects involving bridges or tunnels. You should have held the role of production manager, site manager, or foreman.

Knowledge of relevant standard agreements such as AB 04.

Documented good knowledge of AMA CV.

Knowledge of concrete according to competence class 1.

Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious

You have worked on large complex infrastructure projects >100 million SEK in urban environments.

You have worked for at least 3 years on railway projects in the last 5 years. Not subway or tram.

You have experience in developing proposals for technical solutions and product choices regarding concrete structures.

You are accustomed to preparing calculations and planning resources, tools, and material consumption in infrastructure projects.
